Anchalika Mahavidyalaya Swampatna, established on the 23rd September 1982 has the distinction of being one of the premier institutions for higher education in the district of Keonjhar. Sprawling over thirteen acres of land on the bank of sacred river the Baitarani with a picturesque background, the institution is the brain child of the local elite with the unflinching support of all sections of people of entire Patna constituency to realize the dreams of higher learning. Since then, the institution has been marching ahead in its relentless effort to fulfill its sublime objective of providing higher education to the first generation learners of a socially, educationally and economically backward area.

 

The college is now imparting instruction from higher secondary to degree level in both arts and science streams with honours facilities in undergraduate classes. Since its inception, the college has been maintaining its high standards of academics, co-curricular activities and cultural programmes. Its students earned reputation for the institution by extraordinary performance in university examinations and also in university and state level sports events.
